It was an honor and thrill to meet John Sykes in Cleveland in the 1980s. We had a very interesting conversation about David Coverdale while we drank beers and hit on two super hot twin sisters at the hotel bar. Guess what? John would up leaving the bar with both twins walking onto his tour bus. All I could do was laugh, smile and raise my beer in salute to John Sykes. "Go get 'em, Johnny!"

Great album. I remember it caused a veritable sensation when they anounced Gillan to join Black Sabbath. And you have to give Tony quite some credit, he knew EXACTLY how to model the new songs to suit Gillan's style like a glove. Not to mention Gillan was probably at the top of his game at that time.

Yngwie is the one who did the song justice in Japan with those jokers of Alcatrazz.

Или на UA-cam запись этого концерта была, уже не помню. А сейчас увидела ещё живого Джона Лорда и слёзы из глаз так и потекли. Покойся с миром, один из кумиров, долгих счастливых лет жизни остальным.

Great to see this. Actually got a glimpse of this in UK tv ( three channels just before 4?) when rock was frowned upon. John Sykes doing Cold Sweat on OTT in a pub with Lizzy the next year I managed to record.

This is a great album horrible mix but great songs I think if deep purple wouldn't have re form they would have stayed together for a least another album

It seems like a joke. Dio always complained about Blackmore, who paid him very little for a couple of years. And here it is Campbell who complains to Dio about miserable pay. There are many stories like these. Ozzy has several, or rather his representative and wife, although he of course knew what was happening, for example with Jacke Lee
